We Need Your Help to Raise $35,000 to Fix Our Foundation!

After 40 years of giving to others, we are now in desperate need of help. Today, we face a unique and urgent challenge: the foundation of our building is failing.

Kids in Preschool

Supporting families in Ingham, Eaton, and Clinton counties since 1984

Each project is designed to meet the specific needs of disadvantaged children and families in our community by providing clothing, winter coats, shoes, school supplies, household items including bedding as needed, holiday gifts, and suitcases filled with necessities for those transitioning within foster care.

Projects

Give-A-Kid-A-Backpack

We provide backpacks and grade-appropriate school supplies annually for students in the Holt School District who are entering Pre-K through 12th grade. We also strive to provide each student with a new outfit and a new pair of shoes to increase their self-confidence.

Give-A-Kid-A-Coat

We provide over 500 winter coats each season serving entire families in Ingham, Eaton and Clinton counties. Each October, we hold a clothing drive and provide gently used coats and other winter accessories, and warm clothing for adults and children.

Services

Give-A-Kid-A-Christmas

Each year we help hundreds of parents provide great memories for their children, ages 0-18 years old. We bring joy to our community by providing age-appropriate toys, games, and necessity clothing items based on each child's unique interests and needs. 

Give-A-Kid-A-Suitcase

No child should have to use a garbage bag or cardboard box to carry their cherished possessions to their next foster placement. This program supplies children with personal items customized to their age and clothing sizes and a suitcase to carry them in. 

Give-A-Kid-360

Give-A-Kid 360 was created to help families who are dealing with unforeseen circumstances such as a fire or flood, or the need to set up a new home. We provide gently used household items that a family may need, including dishes, pots and pans, linens and bedding. We also provide gently used clothing for the entire family.
